I fuel more at TA than anywhere else, followed by Love's.
I haven't noticed any bad treatment, though. One would think they would appreciate us more, now that we don't fuel at Pilot/J anymore.
And I really like getting to the TA in Hurricane.
A block away is a tobacco store that carries my brand of pipe tobacco, and there is a KFC right across the street.
Although, lately, that KFC has really gone downhill in quality. Oh, well.

At Loves in Kankanee IL on I-57 just south of Manteno.
Drop late tonight at customer DC then roll through Manteno to across the street from the terminal to pick up at a Sears DC going to Ohio for a 2-stop in Norwalk and Akron. Don't want to be wasting any time at these DC's so I can get up to and through Chicago/Gary on I-80 before the morning traffic onslaught begins.
I seem to fuel fairly evenly between Loves and Petro/TA. People always seem nice enough. I run into far more rude ingrates at Swifts facilities than I do at TS's.Moosetek13, Cjh_army and marvelfan Thank this. -
That Sears DC is a nice place. Easy in and out, with a couple hoops.
Pull in and get the trailer checked out, then drop the trailer. Very easy parking, I might add.
Go around to the outbound guard shack to get your paperwork, then go find your trailer.
Then after a quick check of the seal you are on your way. Shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes.
It's probably the best Sears DC I've been to, Denver being the worst.HousTank Thanks this. -
Maybe I'm just the lucky one past few days and had people that were just in a bad mood lol. And I agree about more rude people at swift facilities. Well of to do about 4 hours of driving then home to see my 15 month old and wife. Monday is my birthday and since leaving from home time before then wife days she has something special planned. I hate surprises lol.
HousTank and Moosetek13 Thank this. -
Jen, know the area well. Before moved to were I am now I lived in Lakewood from 1980 to 1992. On Madison and 133rd. Used o hang out at Trios and the Patio and when slumming went down to 117th and Detroit to a Jazz bar there. Swore that when I left that area would not return and for almost 20 years did not unless just passing through and now about twice a week I am getting to visit North Olmstead, Fairview Park and I-90 and 117th. In fact heading back up there again in the morning.
Presently at the Peelot again in Sunbury, OH. Might have been able to make it back to London but with only about 50 mins left on the hours and 42 miles did not want to be like others here and take that chance. -
By others here do you mean dptrucker? (Sorry dp, I just had to throw you under the bus
)
A21CAV Thanks this. -
HAHAHA. Was not going to mention names but there appears to be a few that like to stretch their luck.
While sitting here at the Peelot just love watching trucks come in and create a spot to park. The ##### lot is wide open and seeing trucks come in here and park in the middle of the lot where there is NO PARKING. Never ceases to amaze me. -
It called LAZY! I see it ALL THE TIME. No consideration for how their actions affect others.

Hanging out at a service plaza on I-80 in central OH.
First stop in the morning is at an old time Sears store on the Main St of the old downtown area of Norwalk OH. Google Earth view shows it will be challenging. Narrow streets and alleys. Second stop is at a Mall in Akron...piece of cake.
Grabbed a light load off Mac30 from Mt Vernon OH to a town a bit south of Atlanta. D/H at both ends. Glad to head south where it's a little bit warmer. -
Well, be sure to slide the tandems all the way forward to make the turns easier.
