It is not just landstar, its all those mega fleets who are making money off the backs of drivers. Landstars stock is trading over $66 a share they didn't do it by being nice to there drivers. Making 65cpm is not bad,so I guess you made me eat my words.Have a good night driver wish you the best.

There's nothing you can put forth to keep these guys from flaming and trolling. Best just to ignore it, or, as they say on other forums, "Don't feed the troll!" Lol

I just hate guys who don't take responsibility for them failing at the LS, Mercer & Schneider Choices of the world. Also the whole notion of "Not making more than a Company Guy" is slightly true but false. That's just the 2nd time he's pulled that crap and he did it on a 4 month old dead thread.

Quite a few of us make great money here. Plus we are some of the safest out here. I averaged 2.50 in 2013, and 2.40 in 2014 per odometer mile after Landstar's cut. I didn't pull a single wide load in 2014 which is why my average went down, but I did 20,000 more miles so I'm a happy camper. Once again, that's after Landstar's 27% cut. Sorry you couldn't cut it here, or whatever your beef is.

Im honestly thinking bout making the Jump over there,i got the packet they send u n da.Mail, and completed the app,im trying to see how most guys like it over there,i mostly heard good things about LS,stuck n between pulling flat or box,do most of yall run that Bermuda triangle pattern or do yall mostly follow the money,im stuck with decision making at the moment,i was told id have to run elog?i left the last outfit at da beginning of the year got tired of da BEING ON CALL routine, decent money but pulling flat on call gets old FAST,so anybody with info on LS,give me honest answers i also did the group GOTOMEETING web seminar telling you bout how the accesorials work, and i did see a few doubled brokered loads and i pointed that out to the rep,but besides that there numbers look decent,

And if you let them pay for the tag,and use there trailer box, what is the weekly deduction total along with ESCROW,ACC,INS,everything thanks

I just run in between the Midwest and Southeast. If you could put up with the traffic you could make a decent coin in the Northeast. I wouldn't say I love it over here but I like it alot. The Elog thing is kinda of a PITA but it works. I pull van and I do very well being home every weekend living in Virginia. It's kinda hard to get outbound freight due to my market but I usually don't find problems with loads going home.

And yes you would do Elog since you're a new hire, and off top of my head, the weekly deductions around about $70 a week
Once a month they take out for your physical damage, depending on your truck it could be pretty significant.

Also there is alot of brokered loads on the board. Quite few agents aren't worth a #### but once you weed through them you can do pretty well

Much like hawk, I have a favorite lane I stick to. I run between the eastern US and right back down to the Gulf, usually somewhere between Houston and New Orleans. It's a very good lane for flatbed. You can do alright chasing the money, but once you find your cash cow lane, milk it till it's dry! :)
