Every driver I've met is a know-it-all. It's practically a requirement. In fact the thing that pisses off a know-it-all driver the most is another know-it-all driver.

I'm sorry that's all you see. I'm sure it would be a nice change to see a gasoline terminal run because you just don't see that there. That is as long as it's the companies terminal.

Is your truck painted florescent brown? Something about that color sets people off.

Well Ok then. I'm not going back to read the OP's posts again, but IIRC you told a guy with a speeding ticket and a seat belt to find another career because he was unfit to drive and in the same breath you admit the only reason you don't have speeding tickets is because of your radar detector. That's a little self righteous if you ask me. I will admit I don't know you or your posts from Adam. I have no reason to dislike you but based on this thread, when it comes to know it alls, you strike me as someone who might want to look in the mirror.

I won't name names here, but the sniping stops NOW or this thread will be locked.

As to the topic, I prefer to let someone's job performance speak for itself. In my experience that's been a fairly reliable indicator of someone's character.

Barring that, as I said before none of us are in any position to judge anyone here.

Sorry you misread my post or should I say took every work literally or maybe I didn't word it properly. I do believe that all drivers stating way back when I did had a different view on the laws. Some are smarter than others and some feel that what the driver is required to do doesn't much matter to him way back then. When I first driving I was hauling general freight and running as fast as the truck would run. That's 72mph. So the bird dog save me. That was 1977. Trucking was just a little different then. I do not claim to be know-it-all but I do claim to be a safe driver. Those 1977 driving years are gone and you can not drive like we did back then. I don't like to go into a long explanation about how the business changed because most know. Just know it's not the same. So I still stand by statement that any if idiot wants to drive like a mad man and think he's a big trucker will and does get tickets. By the time he get the idea on how to drive it's too late and he's wasted space for a better driver. And remember this, I would tell myself I was unfit to drive is I was driving like this now. But not likely since I was pulling 12,450 gallons of gasoline 5 days a week. You see I learned.
