Used to be 1 year experience before you could apply to be a trainer, Roehl is desperate for trainers ( too many new drivers and not enough trainers ) I believe all you need is 6 months experience with Roehl to qualify to be a trainer now. Personally, I think that is probably the most idiotic thing I've ever heard of. There's no way 6 months experience is sufficient for anyone, ask yourself this...Do you really think that after only 6 months of driving as a solo driver you honestly feel qualified to teach others?

"the idea that everyones leaving Roehl"

    You are correct.

As Hillary has said "I misspoke".

    I should have said "some".

I had great training there, and don't want to say anything negative, so sorry if I did.

It is definately a GREAT place to start, and apparently for many a good place to stick with.

Just got back from wandering around the back streets of Hoboken, NJ. in a 55 passenger motor coach as the driver. A high school prom gig. Yes, there really is such a town. It's not just the subject of jokes. Not that bad a place actually. But what a place to get to! The last exit before Manhattan, but you don't know that until you get there!

Ant Roehl drivers that get near Reading, PA that have time for lunch or dinner just let me know! Heck, that goes for anyone I know from this board.

    It's 4:00 AM and I am tired.

    Goodnight all.

Depends, are you going honor roll program ? or Milage ? Honor Roll is about is about $890 for 2 weeks starting out. Before taxes.
Milage starting out is $.28per mile lets say 3000mile=$840.00 Before taxes.

I was with Roehl for 8 months, then decided to retire. Signed on at $.38 a mile with 15 yrs.experience. I was on the 7/7 program. On most 7 day trips I was between 3000 and 3600 miles. A few slow weeks at around 2800 miles.Pay was from $950. to $1500 gross. Also recieved the bonuses on time. Now if you are just starting out, dont look for that kind of paycheck. It will normally take a while to get your miles up to where you are making a respectable paycheck.Just like any other occupation, youve gotta pay your dues.

Thanks! I am thinking either 7-3/7-4 or 7/7... How much can you expect to make on the 7-3/7-4? Honor Program and Miles? Thanks!

Bi-weekly which is every 2 weeks.
train pay (starting at evo III ) is $870
    1.5months to 6 months. $1235.00
    6 to 12 months $1300.00
    12 to 18 months $1390.00
Miles --Proably run your dick in the dirt, since your working for so cheap. If your getting all the training paid for and the extra money. It would be worth it.. But if your only being reconized as a Veteran and not getting all the extra benifits your call. I talked to a few who got off honor roll program after a year or less.

Thank you. I am not using any benefits if I do actually go to "Rail". I guess the miles side would probably get me more cash than the salary in the long run. I know if you are salaried, you will get TONS of miles.. but I think I will just go through the regular deal and tough it out. I need the experience and I got the okay from the wife :) I know you have your bad weeks and your good weeks. Thanks alot. Justin
