Any of you ever heard of these? If so are they decent trailers? I was surfing around on the net a few mins ago and ran up on one. It's cheap and all aluminum and 45'. I've just never heard of them and courious. Looks to need a little tlc but looks to be in pretty decent shape from the pics.

They were good in there day but they are getting very old nowadays. Newest it would be is in the eighties. Most of them are 45x96. unless it was dirt cheap (like $2000) I'd pass. Plus they're heavy for an aluminum. A friend had a 42x96 and that trailer was almost the same weight as a 48x102 combo. It was stronger than the combo but not even comparable to a modern aluminum trailer.

Thanks for the info. I'd just never heard of them and was wondering if they were good trailers. I figured it was probably a 96" and knew it was an older trailer. The asking price is $3500. Were they good with coils (45-47,000 lb)? It is air ride and looked to only need a good acid bath and some tires.

i only knew a couple older guys that were still running them into the early 2000s. They both hauled bar and other loads that were easy on trailers. Definitely wouldnt be my first choice for pulling heavy single coils. Plus they had a wonky rear bushing setup. I'm not beating up on these trailers. Any aluminum trailer that's still hauling iron after 20 years is a well made trailer. Just now its really getting up there for age. And nothing last forever lol

Gotcha. I was just curious mainly because I had never heard of that particular brand.

Yea, Back in the early 80's I worked for a lady and that's all we had. Loved the trls. Hauled singles and some times 2 singles on the trl. Had a spread air ride.
Test ld. it before you buy it though.
    Sometimes trls. look good mty...

City Weld trailers were built in New Castle, Pa. Back in the 70's and 80's they were the Big Dog. Had one myself. They would do any option you wanted if you had the $$$. Mine was a turnpike special 3- 9's with 2- 100# propane tanks mounted in the frame. I could get on the Ohio Pike with 90- 100K payload pretty easy. The best aluminum trailer back then. They used Neway suspensions and the later model suspensions were called ARD which they were not as tough as the old sus. with the bar that ran between the 2 bushings.

    The first one I pulled was a 38' 3- 9
Had 50' garden hose stuffed under her and a set of speedy valves...
