At a rest area on I-75 north of Lexington KY. As soon as I got south of Cincinnati the sky opened up with heavy snow. Couldn't see ####!! This was my planned stop point for the night so all's good.

Made my first Sears drop this morning in a little Ohio town called Norwalk. Classic old Sears place. Came up the alley to the back and all they had was a garage door. The owner put a couple pallets in the back of his pickup and backed up to my trailer and hand stacked his boxes of goodies. Four pallets total. Second stop was at a mall in Akron. Some transvestite looking kid came out and told me it would have to be a drop n hook as they had no one to unload. Aww, too bad!! They had a good mty so I swapped the trailers around and had my terminal fix the ecall.

Then ran down to Mt Vernon OH to pick up a nice 8K lb preload to south of Atlanta. This Owens Corning facility really had their act together and I was gone in a flash. I love shippers like that!!

At home relaxing. About 3 minutes after I pulled in the Drive I have a pplan for when I get off home time. They really are not letting me sit idle at all but I'm not complaining.
On another note just saw American sniper, and as someone who served that was such a good movie, wow. Not as detailed as as could of been bit still an amazing movie.

I usually never post in this thread because I drive Swift local so my goodnights would be boring. But y'all stay safe, post more, and make some money! Night from Charlotte!

If things had gone according to plan I would have been on the other side of the interstate. Alas no mts, so I'm BT at a Cracker Barrel ... with the planners sending me 50 miles south for an mt, to go back up to Cincy for my pu ... this is the reason I stayed on the new O/O PP ... if they want to pay me bt me all over the countryside for mts, I'm fine with it.

At the wonderful Petro in Ontario, CA. Sat all day hoping and praying for a load east. I'm supposed to have home time in 7 days on the other coast, Virginia to be specific. Had one nibble heading in the right direction, but it was one of those first come first served teasers. Needless to say I missed it.

Sometimes I swear I'm getting lied to about the lack of freight, but then I can't figure the possible reason for it. So, whatever, I got unloaded at QCD this morning and have been available since 0900. Still nada. At least I'm missing all the snow.

I saw the bubble map early this week when I was in Jurupa Valley. JV has a BIG red bubble, meaning far more drivers than available loads. By comparison Laredo had the largest green bubble. Best freight situation seemed to be upper Midwest and Atlantic states, but nothing spectacular.

Walmart carries a couple of cheap ($40) CBs that do 90% of what the expensive models will do.

My personal favorite is the Uniden 980SSB. Excellent receiver; the weather alert feature is great, and it's fun to listen in on what's happening on 38LSB when the band's open.
