If you don't haul cheap freight ...
-
isn't all freight CHEAP these days. considering fuel is at a 50% discount from last year. and lotsa trucks looking for loads since less pipe being hauled due to oil companies laying off.
but since you brought it up. what's the price of freight have to do with spending $600 or better for plastic? -
1 he's saying if you're profitable they aren't very expensive
2 my prices are the same idgaf that fuels cheaper
3 I wouldn't buy those at that price-not bc the price is bad but because they look like something that would break easier than the cheaper alternative (wood & straps). They just don't look strong enough to work for anything but sheet goods without undue stress and cracking. -

I use the plastic v-board brand. I haven't had any issues with cracking. You van get them bent out of shape and they always go back to their original shape. -

Those look more sturdy MJ. Longer drop for sure. The others look like a 4" drop and a 4" lead on top of the unit.
MJ1657 Thanks this. -
They are the same length on both sides. I'll measure them when I go pick my trailer up this afternoon. I carry 24 of them.

I have a friend has a sawmill. He cut me some 2x4 oak boards I connected with old straps. Like everyone else here. I used the 2x4 because when folded I can use them for dunnage under my loads. I don't have to carry 4x4's.

I've got several, never broken one, can't say that about the wood and strap
