I heard that is supposed to be a "simple" operation... However, doctor said, due to my dad age, 84, his diabetes, and other problems, seems he also has kidney problem, and high blood pressure and had brain stroke some years ago... anyway, doctor said dad would go thru 2 days of "preparation" for the surgery, and there's risk of spreading infection and/or heart attack...
To be honest I wish dad were in a more modern town, maybe in Rio or Sao Paulo... I don't have much confidence in those doctors in that backwards part of Brasil.... and their equipment is old and unreliable either...
Well... whatever has to be it will be... and it's all in God's hands, one way or another... I just hope I can see him once again.... it has been over 2 yrs since last time... He is ALL the family I have and the ONLY person I really care about in this world... and I know he is missing me a lot... I am his only "child"...

 

we certainly all wish him ( and you ) the best. I have the high blood pressure to go along with mine but not the other stuff.....however given the indescretions of my youth I'm sure some of my innards are approaching the condition of an 84 year old as well.

I was in the hospital with mine twice as well being the hard head i am I didn't let them take it the first time figured I'd tough it out but the 2nd time I was left no choice and almost let it go too long.

Rocks you can only be one place @ 1 time. We stretch ourselves to thin. Trying to be everything for everybody and in the end only ruining our own health and having nobody their for us. When we need them. Don't get ahead of yourself that just leads to more stress. Slow down take your time. Seems like you push yourself to exhaustion. Which leads to mental errors. The good word says 34“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

I will say your truck may be at dealer for a few days, and I doubt if they let you stay in the truck. So might get your things ready for hotel. Please just take 1 thing at a time. So u don't go into nervous breakdown. Been there and don't want to go there again. I'll be praying for you and your father. Let me know if I can help in any other way. God bless

she never started it so it isnt in the system just the tank
probably a petcock on the tank to drain and go on

On your DAD Miss Rocks just go home before there will be no reason
jobs come and go you were looking for one when you got this one

I guess when I came to this country I underestimated these kind of situations... but God has been giving me A LOT of strength to go thru every hardship in life... everything will be ok... one way or another...

 

I REALLY REALLY REALLY THANK YOU.... for your words and thoughts and prayers.... they REALLY touched my heart... and helped me to cry a little... I guess I needed to let go some of the pressure I feel right now...
You are TOTALLY ABSOLUTELY CORRECT... I don't want another nervous breakdown... have had several in life... have gone thru a LOT of stuff, REALLY BAD BAD stuff...
I need to stay calm, collected, keep a clear mind and deal with one thing at a time like you "said"...

The truck... I think they will replace the DEF reservoir and maybe some line that feeds the tank cause like Mr. Peterbilt wrote in another thread, the tow truck sloshed the diesel in the def tank. Hopefully that didn't affect the def pump and other parts since I didn't start engine. But shall see what the techs will say...

About my dad.... I will talk to him tonight... hopefully.... His wife told me today they will be going back home tonight and to another hospital farther away tomorrow to see the doctor/ surgeon...
I'll call doctor again and insist for him to fill out this form... I offered help if he needs... Everything and everybody works in s-l-o-w motion in that part of the world...
