I made it home this morning. Loading all my stuff into the truck tomorrow and leaving early Wednesday morning to pick at at Hershey in Brundidge, AL going to Edwardsville IL. Not sure how it will go after that but I know they are working back toward East Dubuque to get to the yard and have my Peoplenet fixed. Safety finally realized my logs are all jacked up and called me but by the time I got the voice mail they were out for the day so I will call them tomorrow.

Been a rough month for me. Then again seems like January usually is. Shut down in Somerset, Pa last night just as the snow was getting heavy. Wasn't too bad got an inch maybe too. Got up in the morning and headed to Heath, OH for delivery. Pa pike and 70 west weren't that bad. Was able to do 55 all the way which in the snow is good in my book. Sitting at the Pilot in Hebron, OH watching Cheers on MeTv. It's the simple things in life folks...

btw glad I'm out of reach of all the NE crap they are getting. Sorry for anyone stuck up there.

 

Ban on Tractor Trailers and Tandems on Major Highways Remains in Effect

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo this afternoon announced a travel ban on all state and local roads in thirteen downstate counties effective at 11 p.m. tonight. All MTA and Port Authority public transit service will also be suspended beginning at 11 pm. until further notice.

Details of the road and transit closings are as follows:

For all local and state roads, a travel ban will go into effect at 11 p.m until further notice in the following 13 counties: Bronx, Dutchess, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, Ulster, and Westchester.

 

Travis, when you are sitting in a dock, hop in the bunk and take a nap. When you first start out, sleep whenever you can. Once you are on your own you'll get a pattern figured out.

 

I just heard from Panhandle .....he says to tell you all that Connecticut is very bad. So far, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York have travel bans that are getting ready to go into effect in another 45 minutes or so.

 

And now New Jersey -

New Jersey is implementing a travel ban for the entire state beginning at 11pm tonight given the impending storm. This travel ban excludes emergency & public safety personnel as well as utility companies & others assisting in storm preparedness & recovery. ‪#‎blizzardof2015‬
