Actually just past the main entrance, not blocking the truck wash but they have jersey barriers there. And of course with no pumps down the bottom they closed the C-store there that had a Blimpie in it.

I always get turned around at that Oak Grove Petro. Fortunately, I haven't been thru there in over a year. Last time I opted for the TA instead for some Popeyes. That was the night I was changing my bunk heater fuel pump in the dark, snow, and -5º. Oh well, they never go out when it's warm, right?

Finally got a load offer barely worth listening to, and opted to get a little progress and a sensible bedtime at the Spartanburg TA versus sleeping at home and having to leave at 0300 to make the schedule work. The other upside is I'll have all day to get to Richmond to stage for an early delivery. If you're coming thru the Richmond/Ashland TA at the 89 tomorrow afternoon, holla!

I got the green prepass at Lordsburg. I seemed to be the ONLY truck getting the green. Judging by the parking lot, a lot of small carriers neglected to renew their NM permits.
    Classic CH Robinson.

I once had a delivery that CH Robinson told me was being accepted that Friday in Bayone City, NJ. It was a floor load. The receiver said those were by appointment only and it wouldn't happen until Monday.

Called CH Robinson back and asked for their contact at the customer that ok'd the drop. The rep gave me a name. No such person there.

    I called back.

"Oh, that's our contact for our office in NJ."

"No, I want to know who you talked to from the CUSTOMERS OFFICE, not YOUR NJ office because no arrangements have been made."

    "Please hold."

Eventually we made arrangements to drop the trailer for a Monday unload with the understanding that CH Robinson took responsibility for any damage that occurred to our equipment. Plus some extra money to cover my deadhead to Easton, PA to get an empty.

    Never believe them.

    Rocks Thanks this.
