I don't stop at PFJ much anymore, they seem to sliding down hill at a fairly rapid pace. I always wonder if they are slowly going out of business the way they are letting their facilities fall apart.

I've often wondered who will grow to be the big chain in the future. PFJ won't last forever. None do. Any old timers who remember the old 76's know that. I kinda look for a resurgence of "mom and pops" someday as people finally get tired of the crap the mega's pull. I'm talking both mega carriers, and mega trucks top chains.

People, people, people .come on now ! Oh, these terrible truck stops, so nasty, so this, so that ! But take notice, they're all full of trucks, the line to get fuel is long, right ? Each one has a manager, some are "managed" better than others. It's a driver that smeared poo on the wall, not the cleaning guy, right ? Which leads me to this question : why do most truck stops have guys as the cleaners ? Maybe a women's touch would work better.
Like the pig who was videoed doing his daily constitution behind his truck at high noon in Tx. He wasn't bashful. My point is, it's the drivers that mess up and dirty up the truck stops. Management plays holy hell-o trying to keep up with cleanliness. It's DRIVERS that throw out their trash and wee-wee behind their truck and run over boulders/flower plants coming in or going out of the place. There is no truck stop etiquette anymore. Not that there ever was.buzz1670, joseph1135, pattyj and 4 others Thank this. -
Perhaps because the employees who work at some, some not all truck stops are only there because they got in trouble with the law and had to get the job as a part of sentence to serve requirements.

It's entirely possible that in the example given by the OP, the person responsible for cleaning the showers at that particular P/FL location took one look at that one, said "Oh, HECK no" (or words to that effect), or "I definitely don't get paid enough to deal with THIS kind of (fecal matter)" and went home. Can't say that I'd blame him/her. I DO blame the filthy poor excuse for a human being responsible for making that mess in the first place.

I worked in retail for 15 years, it is not just truckers that have a hard time finding the toilet. It is all of humanity. A smear of poop on the wall is no big deal after cleaning up an entire pile of it next to the toilet...and maybe the person cleaning it honestly didn't see. Because if it was in one spot, it was probably ALL over before they went in and they were just relieved to get the heck out of there.

you have to plan what truck stop and what time you going to hit that shower/fuel pump. it is difficult but can be done most of the times.

LOL, actually you are right, it was in New Mexico.sherlock510 Thanks this.

Let me clarify, by spot, I mean a rather large one; large enough that anybody who could see, would have easily seen it. But chances are, they were in a hurry, or so sick by what they saw, they just got the heck out of there.
