At the Petro in Ontario, worse I've ever seen it!

Home tomorrow, live unload Friday in Phoenix, then headed to Disneyland for my youngest son's birthday.

 

At home looking forward to Steve coming home tomorrow. He's getting special treatment and earned a whole bunch of Brownie Points because he is taking us all to Disneyland for Ethan's birthday. He offered a new vacumn or a fridge but I held out. Sooo excited, have to remember this is about the kids and esp. Ethan as it is his birthday....

 

Peelot in Billings MT. Made great time from Fargo west. I love being close to the mountains of Montana. Tomorrow will be absolutely beautiful as I head west, through a lot of country that I used to hunt and fish on.

 

Navigating the behemoth that swift is has been hard to connect with the right people to get the answers I need to come back there.....will have to pay them back some money,and unless I can keep my time 6 years there with the loyalty pay and other things I had before my heart attack might not be worth it.....talking to other companies but need to decide soon.....I can make more somewhere else but money isn't everything...I was happy with swift and had a lot of freedom and that's worth it to me for less possible pay I think this is longest I ever stay with one company....usually I'm burned out with a company's excrement by now,haha

 

At a FlyJ between Lincoln and Omaha. So much noise here!!

Went 100 miles up to the Tyson Plant in Dakota City NE to pick up an mty. They had five old ragged out trailers in the far corner of a fenced in field. The only way in was through 40 yards of 10" deep sloppy and heavily rutted mud. I took one look at that mess and said no way I'm chancing that!! After an hour was sent 180 miles SW to Lincoln for another crack at a trailer.

According to the planner the trailer was empty and all I had to do was pull it off the dock. That sounded way too easy. I get there and it's a live unload only facility and an O/O had dropped the loaded trailer still sealed shut up against one of their two docks and left..in the middle of the night!! They wanted me to pull it off the dock and open it so they could unload it. Told them no problem and they had it mty in about 20 minutes and I had a nice trailer. This was one of those MTE Mail supply loads out of Denver down the street from the terminal. I've hauled several of their loads as I'm sure some of y'all have too.

Live load in the morning near Omaha to tcall in Edwardsville after lunch.

 

It's calmed down considerably here at the Petro.
Got yet ANOTHER DOT inspection done. Only 3 more (DOTs) left before my lease expires.

Not that I'm counting.

I'm happy for you lol. I went thru Gary 2 times, once coming from exide and once from the usual Costco going to Kalamazoo. I almost stopped in there to see if they have ifta stickers, still don't have one. Would of loved to meet you in person.
Well my week started crappy but they got me stacked with paw paw, MI to buffalo and then buffalo to wherever in Arizona you tcall for stuff going to Mexico. 2200 miles on that with 4 days, not much wiggle room and is jit. At least for once when I do a favor for a planner they actually followed through.

 

If anybody is interested in a dedicated gig in southern ca one going to colorado and back and Washington and back potential earnings up to 1400 a week (non swift job) I can forward a number I wasn't interested....good company tho,just putting it out there
