To add to that, I have a lot of fun on the road. I always find local places to hang out. Sitting at a place in Maine tonight. Going to watch hockey, have a few local drinks and have some good seafood. Some of us like life on the road. Plus, every 3 weeks, I take a week off. Can't do that local

i stay out 8-10 days take 2-3 off
company pays all of my and my wifes healthcare
and made $68000
it is just right for me
downside is my truck is 2 months old
but my trailer is a lil newer

1000 miles a week..? Not good.*** 2500 miles a week is better...2700 to 3000 miles a week would be great!!

 

Thats how I used to Run.......3 weeks out ....five days off...Reload on the 6th or 7th day. Is that something you see in Lessor's??

 

The truth. This thread makes me want to give up the florida local work and jump in with Lessors. I like what I do but Mediocre checks for overnight local work gets old, and thats all you find here in Orlando.

 

Loaded yesterday and dispatch is letting me drop it at Eagan. Working on a home time load from there. Last home time till the end of April. then it's Thunder Beach in Panama City Beach on the bike.

 

Hey there, I am suppose to be in Caldwell on Wednesday, 02/04 for orientation and dispatched by Friday. Going through what I am thinking to take with me on the plan. My question for one of you is: is there an upper bunk? Great place for storage in the past. Bunk/no bunk will decide how I will pack, i.e. larger luggage as opposed to a duffle bag.

The two KW's I've been in were both single bunks. Not sure about the Freightliners and Pete's
