    In an industry with virtually 100 percent turnover? They track all their former drivers? Like others have said, they have no kind of agreement with the other company. And you really think CRST is going to pursue a lawsuit they have no chance of winning?
    That being said.......the OP must realize that he needs to learn a lesson from this and not take lightly signing contracts/agreements/leases etc. MOST of them will hold you accountable...........but in my humble opinion not this one.

    Doesn't this sound like CR England threatening to revoke your CDL if you don't finish your contract? They can put anything they want in the contract. Doesn't mean they can do it or that they likely will even try it. I also have a hard time time believing that they have time to track their ex-drivers and launch law suits against whoever hires them.

    Guys, you can sue anyone, at any time for anything. I'm guessing they never take these law suits to court, because it costs time and money for the defendant to fight it, so they just roll over.

    computers make it very simple to track... when a request for employment record is sent to CRST, the reply is that person is still under contract with CRST.

    don't lease with anyone, they are all scams as I far as I can tell. I want to get my own authority after a while but only after working as company driver for a year or two. 1. to make sure it's really what I want to do. 2. burn out the company's clutches as I am learning to shift a class 8 vehicle without any expenses.

    Why are you planning on doing a lease purchase with Western without knowing anything about it.You better practice what you preach.Its good you're telling potential drivers what to ecspect with CRST and hopefully many read your thread.But with Western you'll be getting tied up in yet another contract and why Western of all companies?Don't you know there rep isn't any better then CRST.What is so bad about staying a company driver for awhile and see if you're one of the few that actually likes Western?I'll give you the same advice you gave newbies,read and reread all the paperwork tied up with lease purchase before signing anything.

    Hmmm, that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. Posted it with my tablet, so I'm going to blame it on that. What I WANTED to say was;

    Guys, you can sue anyone, at any time for anything. I'm guessing that CRST never takes these lawsuits to court. But because it costs time and money for the defendant to fight it, they just roll over and won't hire the driver in question.

    There's been several drivers on this forum that left CRST because they weren't making enough money to survive; ususally due to a sorry trainer. Anyway, they still found good jobs and said they never heard anymore from CRST,

    I had driver orientation this week for my company with five other drivers. The conversation of companies to avoid came up and CRST TOPPED the list.

    The thought of signing a contract to go to work for that contract holder should be enough to scare anyone away ..... This industry is getting worse & worse everyday !!! I feel bad for these unsuspecting young men & women, sooner or later we must take a stand against this by pushing together to reverse deregulation of frieght ( having the price to move frieght set in stone once again)
