I have heard of plenty of external issues on the twin turbo models as in brackets cracking, turbos going out prematurely, engine derate due to whatever, etc. they cost a logger i know plenty in repair. others will swear by them.

Twin turbos use alot of fuel, and when one turbo goes out it takes out the other

Have an overhead done. Check VVA's and studs in heads. See if motor has been redone yet or is it getting ready to need overhaul. I'd be cautious with that one.

Really, do the turbos burn fuel on their own? The engine gets poor fuel mileage because of the programming to meet nox and soot requirements.magoo68, x#1, Oscar the KW and 2 others Thank this.

And also because of the person holding the steering wheel, an Acert will not get good mileage if you are constantly revving the hell out of them either. And by that I mean anything over 1500, they need to be ran at lower RPM to get mileage out of them.

my mbn is the prototype for acert.
