Someone in the Midwest opened the gates on a sale barn. About 37 cows got out in the road at night. My friend hit one. Or,as he put it, he missed 36 of them.

It COULD prove out through time to be a $60k+ per year OTR job with $60k doable at the (1 year minimum experience) entry level pay rate of 48 cpm. Requiring only approx 120k miles per year, which most drivers should be capable of doing IF allowed. For folks living in relatively low cost of living areas like I do, most would probably find that acceptable. Only time will tell as to how many actual miles each driver is allowed to run. I would imagine the annual mileage range probably varies between 110k to 135k. I guess I should clarify that not all drivers come in @ 48 cpm. They do take some student graduates and many with less than a year experience. I don't know the pay rate for those. And experienced drivers coming over with some longevity with their previous employer come in at greater than 48 cpm. I believe the current cap is 54 cpm.

I'm required 21 days out minimum. I believe that applies to all Florida drivers unless some are grandfathered in differently. I take 4 days off when I come home. I was out 21 days the 1st trip and 26 days the 2nd trip. I don't know their specific home time policy. Sorry but I'm not interested in this thread being about my opinions so I won't go there.

Your opinion matters to this thread. Numbers don't tell the whole story.
