I have also been looking at both of the schools and interested to hear what others have to say both good and bad. Also interested to hear why the OP decided to head down south instead of staying in the Sudbury area.

Manitoulin, although definitely not for everyone, is not the worst company to be affiliated with. Might be a good starting point for you. Also, Bison might be someone to check out as well, with you living in the north.

Thanks for your advice ! I have spoken with a recruiter at Bison they are willing to check out my record without it being clean but I have to be able to obtain a FAST card. They will train new drivers but they are looking to fill Canada - US runs.

there seems to be some sort of stigma around running the states with the new driver crowd. If you can cross the border i highly recomend it, if only for awhile. Imagine maintained highways and turn pikes! truck stops that are a decent distance from each other, and when i say truck stops i mean actual truck stops with full services that dont close at 6pm.

with bison they are running a midwest run heavy wpg-midwest-ontario/PQ- white river switch - wpg
they also offer a canada only for TO- white river - WPG -Return but their paying drivers .37/m so you have to take a kick in the teeth to get what you want.

Bison's new driver program is also highway robbery, and they contuine it because people still sign on the line. be very weary of some of these programs. Arnold brothers is only 1 year and had you on full rate in 6months as long as you didnt screw it up, so keep that in mind.

also the big red team is 90/khr lol

true sir, i take it back. But its still better then SK lol

MOSTLY maintained highways and turn pikes. and the turn pikes are where its at, rest areas with food and wifi. The Ohio turnpike ever have showers and tv rooms.

Only issue I've had with running the states is border crossing, and just how pour our Canadian dollar has gotten.
