I'm waiting at the delivery for the customer to confirm the delivery with the warehouse. Been an hour and no one is answering the phone.

Yeah it's raining between the snow layers and coming on pretty good. I pushed my load back a day-load by the house, drop in pulaski pa, get to Madison Wisconsin from there, then fill out in Portage Wisconsin then come home. Sounds like load tomorrow come home Saturday. First time I'll have to sleep in the truck in quite a while, and first time more than one nite in 15 months...ol lady is bummed. Aside from the weather I'm looking forward to it. -
i get home my wife says when you leaving
snow never got as far north as green bay -
Drivers send paperwork via Transflo but co. asks for original when we go to terminal... I am not sure if co. would accept FMLA via email cause I didn't ask. My "boss" told me fax would be fine, I guess email would be fine too... But since the fax was not legible, the corporate office asked me to send the originals for "legal purposes"... I still didn't ask if they would accept via email... And didn't ask doctor if he would be able to scan and send via email.... Maybe my mistake... And now it's too late... doctor gave originals to someone who will send via some Brazilian express mail... The place where they are is a small village in the middle of nowhere... I don't think they have scanners... much less a way to send it via email...
In any case, co. will receive the original.... hopefully it will not get lost... It's a Spanish version of FMLA and the answers are in Portuguese... Brazilians DO NOT speak or write Spanish... And co. will need to translate that to English.... They said they can do it... Shall see...FatDaddy and Giggles the Original Thank this. -
And someone that I know was thinking about becoming a truck driver and leaving his truck at that TA or Pilot nearby for his hometime.... he lives near that area...
He has no idea how bad those truck stops are...
The day when I accidentally put 2 gallons of diesel in the DEF tank, I was thinking about parking at that TA and leave truck there to spend a day or so with him.... I am glad I never went there... Not glad about my stupid mistake though.... -
You would think in this day and age it could me so much simpler but it's kind of a reminder we are a little spoiled here in the States...
anyway...glad I'm on the couch recovering from yesterday's food, drink and football orgy. Gonna call and check on my truck soon and have a load scheduled from Edison to Manassas tomorrow I'm hoping to run.Rocks Thanks this. -
No, no, no Mr. Cranky... I am very glad, comfortably sitting here, in "my" cozy warm truck...
While weather sucks out there...
Radio says that folks are going at 30 and 35 mph on the snow covered roads... I am empty, was able to deliver yesterday in Providence, instead of today...
I had forgotten that one of my dispatchers wasn't coming to office today... And that's fine, cause I decided not to move this truck today... Will have my 70 again tonight...
The dispatcher who gave me this load that I delivered yesterday asked if I wanted her to start looking for a load to pick up tomorrow.... hmmm....
Nahhh... I rather wait till tomorrow and see how all looks like...
I am not in a hurry to go anywhere till the weather improves and roads are safer...
And she agreed with me...
Put my overalls on, my snow boots on, insulated gloves, hood.... opened the hood, stepped on the tires and cleaned the windshield... Removed a lot of ice and snow and filled up my cooler with it...
No need to spend $ 2.25 for a 5 lbs bag of ice when I can get that FREE...
Talked to dad in Brazil... he has been very sleepy since the surgery... sleeping all day... His wife will send FMLA form today...Last edited: Feb 2, 2015
