I have a Midnight Special 250 with a tuned Uniden Pc68XL. When I have the watt meter connected to check power/SWR I get nothing when the amps on. It dead keys at 60 watts and when I talk in the mic It doesn't move a muscle. Any ideas?

Bad lead maybe? Do you have it hooked up right? The ######## in me wants to say its because it dont have any muscles

Mic gain on the radio turned up? Check with a different Mic? Make sure you have the jumper coax and antenna coax hooked to the right connectors on the back of the amp.

Everything is hooked up right. I can't figure it out. Is there anyway to test to amp to make sure everything's working?

Yeah...with a watt meter. Meter needs to read up to at least 500watts...Test with the amp out of line (just radio, meter, and antenna) and see what the meter says, then check again with the Amp inline but turned off... If you get the same reading you know the meter's working and the signal is going threw the Amp just fine...
Now turn ON the Amp and see what the meter says...If no reading at all still, then somethings gone haywire inside your box. -
Make sure meter is hooked beyond Amp to Antenna coax. The Amp should dead key more than 60 watts. JMHO
