I'm not defending them, as I have no dog in this hunt.
But if you look at a lot of the bigger carriers, They are trying to invest in having good drivers.
So there is money spent to hire said drivers. Now not every company is a good fit for drivers or drivers a good fit for companies.
He states they charged him for out of rte. miles. But also states he was not given a rte. to use.
Ok, But how far out of rte. did he go with these lds.?
Swing by the house or over to see his girlfriend every trip or what.
That we do not know
Said it took over 6 hours to get a reply form them on the qualcom about reefer issues.
I haven't pulled one in years, but if I had a unit go down and no reply in an hour tops, I would be blowing up the phone calling as food loads do need to be maintained

SO let's just look at both sides of this issue.
Me I believe everybody needs to read their employment rules.
Don't go saying they never told us about this in the class.
There is always legal fine print somewhere..

 

Not to beat a Dead horse but with 20 years experience you should know better then to go with a mega starter company. I think its time to pull all that paper work they had you sign and see if they can justify not paying you. I only have 4 years experience and I can guarantee you I wouldn't sign up with a mega. Hundreds of choices for drivers.

 

Hopefully you do research with your next time before believing any recruiter or their website.

 

remember SRT is the same company where that driver died in the truck and told the family if they wanted his body & his belongings they had to pay SRT first that right there just shows what a low level piece of trash SRT is.

 

I've learned that you never want be in a corner while dealing with any trucking Company, things are just not the same in this industry anymore and we have to realize this no matter how much experience we have.... Yeah it really bites but that's the way it has become, these companies have no problem lying to a driver just like any crackhead in an alley would lie to your face in a NY second .....just take a look
