Yep because drivers get denied during orientation.Don't know why recruiters don't make sure everything is perfect before bringing them in.

Good grief and they wonder why so many disgrunted drivers.
V8ChopperJim and GenericUserName Thank this. -
I would think they would do the background check before your hire date?!?!

Another Company that is considering me is Keim TS. They are a small flatbed company out of Sabetha, Kansas. They have been very kind and helpful so far. We will see what happens with them. They have some nice equipment. I spoke to a driver a while back and he was happy. He had been there for several years.

Yes. I am not disgruntled though Patty. As I said earlier, i am a couple months away from completing a year with a company thats the worst of the worst. But you have to have guts to work for these outlaw companies AND keep your record spotless. I have gotten into heated arguments with my boss on several occasions because he wanted me to do things that are downright illegal. Just 2 days ago he got mad because i stopped my shift (3am) and the truck was parked for 2 hours because my codriver wasnt good to drive. Its hard for new drivers to drive at night like that and she is new its a safety issue. We had 16 hours to play with on our delivery appointment. I told him "you are my boss and i respect you for that position, BUT I am the captain of this ship. As long as I make my delivery on time i stop when i want, where i want, when i want, why i want and it is NOBODY'S business but my own and my trainee. With all due respect sir."pattyj Thanks this.

Your company sounds like a company I was with.I sued them for wrongfull termination.I stayed with them 3 yrs only reason was because of a bogus reckless charge that I wasn't aware of till almost 2 yrs later when another company told me about it.By that time it was too late to fight it.
GenericUserName Thanks this. -
Wow thats bs patty. Did your company report to dac? I used to get nervous when told to run illegal but right now i have the upper hand the truck moves ONLY when its road worthy and when legal. My boss whines and complains and I just tell him look buddy we can 3-way this conversation with the DOT they will shut you down so fast it will make your head spin. He knows how to back off when hes pushed back.

I didn't think they did.always thought Jason the owner/boss was too cheap. But according to my lawyer he did put something on it.They settled out of court and part of the settlement was to clean up my dac, money of course and only give the dates I worked there and nothing else when potential employers call them.

I was under the impression that those are major violations and you can't have a CDL if you have two in three years. I'm not really sure about this, maybe someone else knows the 'major violation' rule? Maybe that only applies to violations while driving a truck??
