I have been looking for a good company that is located in SC. I live in Columbia. I think Old Dominion has a terminal there. Anybody know anything about this company? I would like some input on any companies close by. I'm looking to start driving within the next 4 months.
Thanks

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

TMC also has a terminal in Columbia.

I would talk to them. I know a few drivers, and was activily recruited by them for a while. Everything I was told, sounded good.
If your looking for OTR. They prefer teams. But will hire solo. Or they would in the past.
I've heard some negatives. But, it was from other people who had never worked for them...go figure. -
CT Transportation has a terminal in Lexington. and they hire students. OD? you want to pull a wiggle wagon??

Thanks for the info. I mentioned OD because of their website. I see they have an office in Columbia. I don't know much about the company. It's really hard to find info about them on here. I guess that can go either way.
CT Transportation? Do you mean Central Transport International?
Appreciate the feedback. -
CT Transportation (formerly Coastal Transport) of Savannah, GA. they're a flatbed outfit. you won't make any money with them, but they'd be a good company to start out.

Schneider is hiring team drivers in south carolina they said. I don't have a cdl. But if I could find someone in the area to team with they would take me on for training. Interested?

Thanks for the invite but I am not anywhere near home yet. Still have 45 more days in Iraq, then stabilazation. I'll be starting the trucking road in Sept. I have a local outfit lined up actually that will take me on as a trainee and I will work my way up. The best part is, I'll be home everynight. If that falls through, Roehl is my next stop. We will see.
