At the rest area in Ruskin fl off of i 75 didn't want to take the chance of trying to make It to the stop and having It being full. Jaso warned me so I took heed. Now I'm trying to send in my home time for 02/12 @ 20:01 until 2/16 0759 but it says it exceeds the limit. What am I doing wron?
-
probably can't exceed 48 hours
until you build timetruckertravis84 Thanks this. -
My hire date was the 14th of Jan.. That's almost a month.
-
I dont know how it is anymore
but the time probably doesnt count until you got your truck
if you leave TA in 6 months they will ask how long you drove solo
or how many miles you drove hire date means nothing
just ask your driver manager in the morning
i know for me i just went home for 18 hours to get everything in my truck
and hit the road to make moneytruckertravis84 Thanks this. -
Hi all, just checking in. My girl went home to help with the family business, so I will be on my own for a little bit. Still in Thailand, in the Philippines later this month.
I miss you guys, but for what ever reason, I don't miss trucking. Last time I took a break, I kind of missed being out on the great American road, this time, I feel fine right where I am at
I am still about a month away from even thinking about driving again in April.
Good luck to Travis. I can relate and still remember the steps you are going through as a new solo driver. I had a useless "trainer" but if you take it slow, take your time, make good decisions, don't hit or run over anything, you will be fine. From your posts, I can tell you have sense so I know you will do fine.
On being sent to pick up a recovery truck, it is one of the things that drove me crazy about TransAm. It is completely unfair and unreasonable that you should be ask to do that, unpaid, just so you can later have the opportunity to run at .30 per mile, the low end of industry standard. You just saved TransAm thousands of dollars but will be compensated zero for it. You will be put in other similar situations (babysit loads, goofy swaps, jump through hoops to pick up abandoned loads and equipment at wrecker yards, etc.) and you just have to grin and take it as that is the TransAm program. It is also the reason most of us on this thread are TransAm ghosts.
On your hometime request, just wait until regular business hours, send in a message to your regular DM and they can fix your hometime.
Glad your truck is back, up and running Jaso. Are you still running vampire hours?
Happy to see our HoneyBager has made her escape and is doing well!
Happy to see you are all doing well. Stay safe and keep on truckin!gntorres61, jungHo, truckertravis84 and 3 others Thank this. -

I'd like to bring up a subject that I don't think has been mentioned in a while, and is very important, and that's logging. Logs are legal documents and are very much needed for tax purposes, whether your a company or lease driver. Companies are only required to keep driver's logs for 6 months, after that, they delete them. You need to make sure that you down load yours, and keep the copy, before they delete them. There are no 2nd chances, if you miss that cut off.
Don't know how TA has you go about doing that but, if nobody has explained it to you, you had better find out how!!!
Hi passport, glad to know that your doing well. Can you get your wife to hire you, then you can just stay over there and not ever have to worry about playing around in this stupid snow!!!! BTW, who's looking out over the club house while your gone??? loldennisroc, HometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this. -
Good to hear from you passport. Yes getting back to vampire hours tonight.
dennisroc and passport220 Thank this. -
That is a great idea! but really, I am always thinking about ways I can make a first world paycheck and spend it over here. Clubhouse is just sitting cold. I fixed and cleaned it up, still just looks like a modest little house in the modest little city of Des Moines but it now is starting to feel like a proper home.
Staying here full time is a plan for the future. Right now, I am now trying to get back into shape. I am staying at a little resort about 2 hours outside of Bangkok. $360 all-in for monthly rental:

I go for a run almost everyday in a nearby park:

It has a Buddhist temple at the top:
After I am all hot from the run ... ok, jog ... who am I kidding...mostly walking ... I jump in the pool to cool off. 10am here now so I am off to do my thing!
Take care all!Panhandle flash, jaso37, HometimeQueen and 3 others Thank this.
