Huh... my Peoplenet is working just fine....
Parked for the night at the WB rest area on US 35 in southern Ohio. Little snow suppose to blow through tonight. Came off hometime and loaded in Charlotte NC headed to Sturtevant Wisconsin. got through the mountians before the snow... funny how this 40,000 lb load makes my truck weight 79,200 lbs.... me thinks it weighs more like 44,000.... was really crawling up Fancy Gap and through WV....
Sorry if I slowed any of you down!! Lol
Feels good to be back at it.... but if I win that powerball t onight, I may retire!! -
Petro, Laramie....

Not parked, finally getting February started. Left Nogales and headed to Louisville, Ky. I'll get a return hazmat load to calexico, Ca. Then a Peachtree, Ga load. That will take care of me till Tuesday.

Parked at the Rip Off's in Lubbock. I haven't been here since 1998 when I relayed a load with another driver at Stevens when IBP in Amarillo screwed up and put his trailer number on my BOL and the rookie security guard scratched out the seal numbers and put the ones on my trailer, forgetting that if anything didn't match on the bills that trailer wasn't to leave. Well he was going home to McAllen and my load was heading to Laredo. We switched here at Rips. Well when I got to the customer, he noticed that the trailer numbers didn't match as well as the seal numbers. I explained the mixup but he understandably had his people get inside and count the cases before he'd let me drop the trailer and sign the bills.
It was my second run as a solo driver. -
Their chicken fried steak omelet is pretty good.
Blu_Ogre Thanks this. -
That sounds surprisingly good.
Bonus points for making the socialite foodies cringe and run screaming to the corner. -
What's funny was it was in error. I had considered ordering it but ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs instead. When I got the omelet the waitress realized it was wrong apologized and offered to take it back but I said, "Actually, it looks really good, hell I'll eat it". It was more expensive than the meal I ordered anyways.
Waitress was a real sweetheart and I left her a good tip. -
Always take care and reward the good ones.

I agree.
I have several cousins in the wait staff industry. My cousin Josh works at Texas Roadhouse in Farmington, NM. One of their perks is all you can carry take home peanuts.
