My company used to pick students from select schools but told me they had to stop that because of the eeoc

Elsa is blowing trailer clearance lamp fuses, 2 in a week. Gotta put a stop to that. Also she's blown her left fog light and I can't see how to get to it; it's inside the bumper. Would get to a service center but I want to do that on a 34. Reckon I'll do a little research and try to fix it tomorrow on my down time. I can write off the light bulb.

She's getting me around 6.3mpg so far (gonna run the numbers tonight; that figure is off the display). Room for improvement, but that's full out balls to the wall running with well over 40,000 in the box, back and forth across Pennsylvania to Chicago. Haven't run an injector cleaner yet. Also the air filter looks a little rough (probably will wait till pm time so I don't have to pay for it out of pocket).

I notice a correction in the fuel pricing trend... Reckon I knew it wouldn't stay that cheap forever. Oh well, my surcharge will correct Tuesday.

Turned it down to 60 and picked up almost a mile per gallon last night (again per display--still haven't done the math).

When dealing with FSC, higher basic fuel prices are usually better.

Higher surcharge only helps when you beat the average, for a truck getting 4.5, higher surcharge costs you money, for a truck getting 8 higher surcharge works in favor of our pocket and you make more.

Yep on both counts. The surcharge here is based on 6mpg/$2.00. I'm growing confident I will be able to get Elsa up near 8 although it will take a little time. And $$.

Time to get her cleaned up. I'm going to replace her brake lines at the next PM unless it's a long ways off; the ones back there now are serviceable but worn. For today she gets an Ultimate Pride Wash and a basic fuel system cleaner to go with her fill up. She's taking good care of me so she gets a day of pampering at the Spa.

Ooh, sweet sweet shower, who washes away the detritus and the weariness that clings to my skin, my body, indeed my very soul, you shower who restores my humanity, my essence, my own life. How wondrous you are, as you rain down upon me and envelop me in a cloud of bliss. I float away from my stress, feeling my troubles sluice off this corporeal shell to leave behind...a man restored.

Reminds me of my Ode to Waffle House.

Oh how I love thee, Waffle House. Let me count the ways.
There's smothered. Smothered and covered. Smothered, covered, and peppered. Smothered, covered, peppered, and chunked. Southern classic pork chops. Eggs scrambled w cheese. Eggs scrambled w cheese on white toast. Mushrooms from the pork chops in my hashbrowns. Mr Pibb. Another glass of Mr Pibb. ANOTHER glass of Mr Pibb. And a patty melt to go.
