Old age isn't for sissies... It's for the crusty, tough and wizened from experience. Guess we're stuck with you after all. Welcome back!

Well... it's a long story, Don. But in a nutshell, I had a hip revision (replacement of a failed previous hip replacement) at the beginning of March... discovered it was infected while in rehab... wound up with a total of four hip surgeries, which included one that entirely removed the hip (and left me with a medicated spacer in its place) for eight weeks while I was on IV antibiotics for MRSA-HA and enterococcus.

Went back to work part-time in mid-August, full-time in October, and just wrapped up outpatient physical therapy last month... but in the process of rebuilding the "surgerized" hip, the arthritis in the other hip and knee got a lot worse. Trust me, though -- I'm in no rush to for a replacement. It's painful, but at least I can hobble around with a cane... and right now, that's good enough for me! :yes2557:

Thanks for the welcome back. This getting old stuff is such an adventure... :biggrin_25521:

No kidding. In fact, this getting old stuff is well, GETTING OLD! Golden Years? It would probably be best if I never meet the individual who coined that phrase. Had to be a salesman of some type or another. . .

Sorry to see about your problems there Ducks. I really had wondered what happened to you. Anyway, glad to see you back, even if you are sort of "hobbling around.":biggrin_25525:
