So why didn't you just ask the company to reimburse you for a $6 roll of tape at the truckstop? I wasn't there so I don't know, but it just sounds like you handled it wrong.
What would you do

Lol this is exactly why we call some drivers steering wheel holders. Omg you can't put on a piece of tape or change a light. I recommend you do find another job. Preferably not in the trucking industry
al_huryn, G.Anthony and Bigcountry8079 Thank this. -
"Ratting them out" almost never works out. (BTDT) If anything, it could keep you from finding another job with a better company. Your cell phone is your friend. Take lots of pictures with it and send text messages rather than talk on the phone. These things have a way of working themselves out. In a few more years, the bad company will either clean up their act or be out of business.

They have been cutting our hrs and putting the extra frt to the o/os, we were a all company driver outfit when started, but now they have more o/os than they have company drivers, maybe we are being forced out of a job, I don't know... This is a small contract carrier for Chrysler here in Detroit

We have a place to go to have our equipment fixed, I won't mind if I didn't have cross the scale house, no they don't reimburse us for anything like that
-
Ummmm really? Did I say I couldn't put some tape on the icc.... Come on now & BTW I'm past worrying about if I'm a trucker or not
-
with 29 years of trucking I wouldn't think finding another job would be very difficult....
Its YOUR license protect it at all times, screw them... -
I think your right about that, it will probably just be a headache, I figure they have it coming anyway no need to get that mess on me

Finding another job is not a problem, the problem is hiring on to a company worth a 💩to work for without racking up a bunch of job history, I've been doing a lot of research on different companies before I jump ship, im applying only at prime jobs now, I have a spotless record all the way around have never (knock on wood) had an accident ever!!Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.
