She's finishing up the first draft and working on the epilogue and not yet ready to release any of the content. Also it's geared more toward teenaged girls so I doubt this august assemblage would find it very interesting.

Well it didn't take long for me to have my first horrible day. Started the day with a live unload, then a trip to Elwood for a drop and hook, but no empty trailer so had to detour into Chicago to get an empty before picking up in Pleasant Prairie WI. Add to that SLOW service at lunch break (a mistake, I know) and I didn't have enough time to get across Chicago after my pickup. The load is due in Allentown tomorrow before 2200. And it's a critical load. So now everybody is scrambling to save this thing and I can't even get started before 0710. I'm sick to my stomach about this. I told them I can be in western Pennsylvania before I shut down tomorrow but somebody else has to finish the load before 2200. Unless someone gets the load tonight I don't see how it's possible. Actually with all the other delays it wouldn't have made much difference even if I had gotten out of that restaurant on schedule.

The worst thing is I did this run last week and it's easy. IF you can get a proper head start on the load. I ran less than 400 miles today and had to shut down. Nothing has gone right all day and now I've created a bunch of headaches for other people.

    I hate this.

I think he said he was going to the E-Logs, but I could be wrong.

I have five daughters, all of whom were teenagers not long ago. I am so used to that genre...!

I'm on elogs. Handed off the load in Gary IN to a Russian guy on paper who owns his truck (he can go faster). He'll get the load there by deadline (2300). I'm waiting for them to work me back into the puzzle.

Got my rear end handed to me this morning; they weren't happy about any of this. Reason I was so upset is that they're right. I should have called it when I got delayed at delivery yesterday morning instead of trying to be a hero.

Well, it's done now. Won't let it happen again. Time to shake it off and get back into the game. We'll see what they come up with next. Guarantee I'll be paying closer attention to hours from now on....

I hope the Russian guy wasn't in the Risinger truck I just saw broken on the PA Turnpike at MM 57. Guessing the timing wasn't right for it to be him.

Of course, he probably wouldn't go that way anyway!
