I haven't seen a 2 hr limit sign at any of the Virginia rest areas in years.
-
Doesn't that Pilot in Newburgh, NY have 2 or 4 hour parking limit signs in the truck area?
-
I asked the clerk there if it was enforced and she said no. Not sure why a Pilot would even have a sign like that.

I know the one outside of Chattanooga (on 75) is posted the same. I stopped in there one day a few months back for a 30 min break and had a security guard (yup, private security and not THP) walk up to my truck. Nice guy but he darn near talked my ear off. In that conversation he let me know that he doesn't mind truckers overnighting there and that THP didn't come out there unless he called them. Take from that what you will.

I live in Virginia and I have never seen the 2 hour limit enforced. Not saying it hasn't happened though.
I can tell you this, DOT inspections start around 8 a.m. at rest area's and are over by 1 p.m. in Virginia -
Guys/Girls...... I live in Virginia Beach, and I think I remember a article a few years ago where the governor lifted that parking limit thingy. I believe it was in the Virginia Pilot newspaper. I will try and dig it up and post.
