I saw something almost supernatural tonight, and it still has me wondering about it

    It was just around 1900 when I was on 84 heading towards Abilene TX. I see some trailer lights ahead pulled way over onto the shoulder. I was not paying too much attention to him because I was thinking it was just another truck on the side of the road.

    But then, as I am getting closer to it I notice something kind of disturbing. As I came right up to him, at the front of the trailer where the truck is supposed to be, there was nothing. The trailer was just sitting on the landing gear. But the lights were on somehow.

    For some reason this had me start thinking of ghost stories and kept me wide awake the rest of the way into Abilene.

    I've done the same when truck broke and I got towed ... You run a wire off reefer battery and set it on continous takes 5 minutes and easier to see

    Probably a reefer trailer. Some drivers know how to do that.

    I've seen dump transfer trailers disconnected from the truck that somehow had the hazard lights blinking. Must have some sort of backup battery or power source on those.
