Lepton, like they said, I wouldn't burn any bridges. I think if you are in good standing with Swift and are good with your DM then 2 weeks notice would be a good idea.

Good luck on this new endeavor if you choose to do that. Sounds like a great opportunity. If for some reason you miss Swift I'm sure it would be easy to return.

Hello still from Pasig, Philippines. This has been a whirlwind week for me. From meeting the Mayor and then having some of Joy's co workers over for dinner and one of them brought her son that happens to be attached to the Security detail for the Mayor and telling me that when ever I visit City hall I am let them know so that can escort me around if needed and that I am on their VIP list as far as visitor. This incudes their special elevator and that if I am seen waiting for the elevator a call is made to the operator and lets them know that a VIP is waiting. Also received my new Drivers License for here and no test involved with endorsement for light vehicle and cycle so I was doing some showroom shopping at the large Yamaha dealers across from the hotel here. Also found out some more of Joy's family connections. Her one Uncle was a director of the NBI (same as our FBI), and that where ever I walk around here I am watched on CCTV so that nothing happens to me since her sis-in-law is supervisor for one district and her brother is one for another district.

The people have all gotten to know me. When we go up for breakfast in the morning our eggs cooked to order is places as soon as we walk into the door. I guess that this all goes to when visiting a foreign country just try and fit in and they will accept you. From my walking around and seeing most of he same security guards they are always saying hello and have a great day. Well another week here and back home. One more final thing will happen this Sunday. One of Joy's co workers newest granddaughter is having her baptism and I have been asked to be the Godfather. What a honor.

 

I had to stop there for a B-svc last week. I got there a day early for my delivery, couldn't get the B done. So I dropped and spent four days there until I got a pre plan. It left the next day.

Horrible place if you like making money.

 

Made my beer delivery in Sumner then dropped my mty at the terminal and bobtailed to my brothers house a few miles away. Just got a load off Mac-30 headed to Las Vegas, a t-call in the Sumner terminal. I'll start out bright and early. Not sure if they will route me to Twin Falls and then south, or down to Bend and SE.

Delivered around noon in NC and got a pplan as I was dropping.
Pick up at P&G 35 miles away and deliver Sunday in IA. A nice 900 mile load.
Even nicer, it is an mt UltraLight trailer - a simple trailer move for the dedicated there.

I love all these hills when all I'm hauling is air.

 

Looking at the freight bubble map that area seems pretty hot with freight right now.

I sure wish we could access the bubble map online. That would be helpful for selecting loads on Mac-30.
