Ah I see. I'm going to see if I can get down to my truck tomorrow before the storm hits and play around with it. I can't seem to find any of the plastic washers in our local stops. Will try to fab something at worst, online cost is atrocious when you look at shipping. >.>

One (or two) new hardware's from the nearest truck stop is far less money than repairing a blown final in your radio. Plus as an added bonus you can hear and talk beyond the parking lot. No idea why the one('s) you had were missing the insulators though, they should always come with one.

On a ProStar just run a new coax and mount and be done with it....The factory stuff is junk.
The plastic washer is down inside the top of the mirror....International puts it on then an extension sticking up to screw the antenna to.

I have had 4 different ProStars....2 were brand new and I could NEVER get an antenna to tune on the factory system.
