Wow.. I ask drivers every day how CSA effects them.. and like here.. most apparently have no ###### idea.. 1. there a seven categories in CSA.. not ALL of them have something to do with maintenance.. There are NO WARNINGS as it relates to CSA.. if you get pulled over for speeding and then inspected, the CSA will show a speeding violation AND whatever the officer discovers during said inspection.. the driver scores are TRIPLED for the first three months ,, so if you get a violation or violations.. the driver's "score" is VERY large.. for that 6 month period.. then the score drops to double and the last two years, the score is whatever the violations were..

Maybe someone else like myself who owns a trucking company can set these people straight about CSA points and who gets them

You may get a warning from your company but I do think you need to tell them otherwise if they find out it could be grounds for dismissal.Just chalk this up as a lesson learned.

Yeah, confuse them with the facts, and when pigs fly they'll grasp it!

So yeah, drivers do get points, but no one but the coppers can see that.

That said, your carrier can tell how many points you have cost them. Well, anyone can. Give me a USDOT and a plate# and I can see how good or bad you have been. It's not tied to the driver though, only referenced by plate number, so there's no way to tell who got the points unless you know who was driving that truck on that day.

Doh, thanks Don. I totally forgot to answer that part of his question and you are absolutely right. I also think there's a form you have to fill out at the end of every year listing all the moving violations you received that year but it's been a long time since I've had to fill one out so please don't quote me on that. :)

Nah i know how CSA works i just said the other guy was wrong when he said you only get csa points when you get an inspection nd what i said about my driver was true nd it was not no inspection sheet or nothing unless the nj state trooper was wrong well not my problem nd after what he did i thought you can get csa points nd not having an inspection.
