If you have no intentions of keeping the truck, I would go for a new truck on a 1 year lease. Better MPG, full warranty (not the 500k "well actually this part isn't covered under the extended warranty" warranty), hasn't been smoked in or ragged on.

 

I was at .38 before i switched and i had a 66 mph truck

 

Yeah I think I'll feel a lot better about getting into a 2016 I've waited awhile for this what's another month. Thanks for the advice guys

 

Check out Hoover's glider kits as well. They offer a few more options when it comes to engines (CAT + Cummins as well as Detroit) as well as more options for the rest of the driveline and truck as a whole. If I remember correctly all the Fitzgerald gliders have 1650ft/lb drivelines which, at least for me, was a bit of a turn-off. Especially living in TN with all those hills to run through, if I was gonna spend all that money on a brand new truck I'd want one that would pull with the big dogs. Not sure how they compare price wise but I'm sure they are competitive. Just yet another an option to consider and check out.
