I worked 24 years at a company pulling our freight. No other freight touched our trailer floors. I started in a straight truck then worked into semis once I turned 25. We had cameras inside the cab since 2009. We were covered by a CBA, and when the subject was brought up about privacy issues, the company response was " never once had any problems and we don't want them to start"I guess they figured we had it good there and they could buffalo their way into anything. It stung for awhile, but come payday all was forgotten. So I guess it will be like any other issue, ie... Home time, pay, benefits or some other issue. You will have to make a choice whether to stay or leave. I personally don't like them, but my names nt on the title or the door,so I choose to work their is my choice. I hope though that cameras will benefit drivers and not become another tool for the companies to tighten the noose farther. It's already hard to breath out here now. Sorry for the ramblings.

After being here for years I can tell you it's a noose and nothing but. I can prove my point...... When getting your camera equipped truck go ahead and block the part that looks at the driver and back into the sleeper and see how long it takes them to contact you. Keep in mind it's for your safety !!!!!!!!!! The funny part is that the news hasnt really hit the drivers that much but already SEVERAL have quit. Put that into perspective for a second. On the plus side if you still want to come over here "CRAZY" and love the 2330mi weeks than you will for SURE be in hog heaven.

It was a fantastic place to contract to here at ACT. I loved it but SOMETHING happened here in the past year and it has gained speed going down hill at record pace. I have hope in my heart that the nose dive on this plane can be pulled up sooner rather than later. I will stick it out till I get a camera or they see this post I guess.

I was out for 6 weeks straight and then they wanted to give me a hard time about taking time off. I was a company driver but I don't remember marrying an ACT truck. That was the final straw and I quit when I got to KC.

Well that's the part about this company that has always baffled me, everyone claims how great this company is/was (pre cameras) both on here and ACTs Facebook pages, but the miles suck(to me). Granted they have nice equipment and I've always heard the people were real nice too, but for me the most basic of necessities is making money while I'm away from home. I would be ok with 2800 miles or more, but 2300 just isn't worth it to me, not if I'm out 7 days that week. I don't get it.

Yes Jag I know you and a few others get all the miles you want but obviously most don't.

Sorry, rant over, carry on ...
