    Duo That is freaking hilarious.

Seems like a long time ago now I had just bought a new Merritt cattle drive wagon a 45000 dollar truck needed to put 1500 a week in the bank for the house hold and make my payments. Never missed a one. 4000 could be done legal some and made to look legal always. Above that I only kept certain fuel receipts and sent the bills trip pak soon as I dumped. There was way to many late night flights back then. Not sure I could do it now I am sure I don't want to any more

O/O could understand running 4,000 miles. for a Company driver making crap, rewarded with retarded miles. Only a fool would run hard 4,000 miles as a company driver at/or about 37 cents per mile. The classified did say up to $1500 per week. hence about 37.5 cpm

    4,000 miles is a lot !

That's how I do an Id spud run. Leave Sunday morning. unload Tues morning early, then bounce to the packing house. Get loaded, then unload Fri afternoon in Atl. Bout 4100 miles all in. Don't do it every week, but not too hard to do.

Ours were more home to Lexington Ky, reload in Lexington to Kansas City. Buzz over to Fredonia and run to Hereford or Amarillo. Then Hereford or San Angelo to Joslin Ill. Come back to Iowa and reload for home. Lots of ways I miss those days but I'm glad they are behind me

I know! But between you, me, Pete, Wore Out, Ol Hand and Tangerine, they know there is other forms of life out there. By the way, my truck only runs 75! Self imposed! The trick a lot of people don't get is time management and knowing yourself. If I get tired, I take a nap. When I feel like pushing I do. I set the delivery schedules on both ends. If they ask nicely I might do it how they want it done, but 90% of the time, my way is better. I wouldn't do it off of PC Miler miles for that pay. Of course I'm paid percentage.
