Ethos, I'm looking to get on with a tanker outfit. You seem to know what the deal is. I'm from the north east I've put in applications with QC, Altom, and Superior. Is there anyone else around my area that I'm missing? Looking to do OTR especially if the money is right. Trimac I out in but I'm out of their area so that's a long shot that won't happen.

I'm not good with the north east although several on here are. Best advice is to start a thread in this forum as they might ignore this thread. Post your question and several guys will jump on, Chinatown is actually the guy you want to talk to, he knows every trucking company in America.

I actually recently signed into contract with Schneider for a year and they are putting me through school now and then I will go straight into their tanker division at .36 cpm and about 2500 miles a week and there is also accessory pay. I am just considering possible future alternatives if I think I can get more money elsewhere. I am pretty young at 22 and have spotless records on everything and have no home commitments so I am really just looking to make money for the next several years so I can pay off some student loans and get ahead in life. I really want to hit an $80k+ mark as fast as possible and am willing to work for it, Schneider has been very accommodating so far so the only problem I imagine having with them going forward is pay.

I am probably jumping the gun quite a bit since I am still in CDL school and have a year contract to serve but I like to plan ahead.

So far your plan looks great. If I had it to to over that's the path I would have went down. Schneider is a great place to start.

Don't believe the lies on here. I've been Schneider Tanker driver for over a year. Average miles about 1,700 a week..and I'm leaving now. Do you like sleeping in muddy tank yards? Then this job is for you. I swear some paid employees from Schneider are making up lies on this site to get people to join them.. The only guy who gets 3000 miles a week are team drivers.

What "Lies on this site" did you have in mind exactly?

    It might be ok.

Sounds like another disgruntled Schneider Driver struggling to express the frustrations.
