Fluid film works good and lasts a while, easy to reapply since its in a spray can.

I use an empty 16 or so oz. dish soap bottle with the pull up lid & fill it with motor oil.

(I use 80w-90 gear oil on mine, and like was said before, running them together when in storage in the elements or not getting used for log periods of time helps quite a bit.)

Keep them closed when not in use.

I have 15 year old 9200# rating binders that still work perfectly.

I like the 5th wheel and slider lube for my binders. It's not quite grease but heavier than gear oil. Keeps everything running smooth. I also make sure to hit the lever and ball detent with some wd40 or toolbox buddy every time. There's something incredibly frustrating about a binder that won't change directions.

That's what I use to. The fact that its thicker, stops it from getting washed off in the rain.

If you were close enough I would make like a rookie and back over you!

I am still hoping for a load tomorrow. Even tried to book a combine today but just couldn't pull the trigger. Now in the morning I have to call and see if they load Saturdays. It is a long bounce to get but if I don't have to be around kids it's worth it.
