Got a parking Citation

Parking fines are strict liability meaning that you did so pay up. You might get a judge to reduce the fine a little but for the most part they are going to point you to the clerk of court to pay your fine. Parking a truck outside of a truckstop these days is getting stickier all the time. If it were me I would just mail the fine and be careful about parking in that town, all of the time off work to maybe get a few bucks off the fine just isn't worth the trouble.

I do not believe so. He comes off as a typical kid, making a mistake and wanting no way to owe up to his responsibility.

I remember in my very early days when I kept poking a paperclip into a wall outlet, it wasn't a kind lesson, but I got the point right away.

Yeah, some "kids" think they know it all, and think that they need not pay up. Who knows, maybe someday the o/p will learn, then again...??

 

I would at least make a phone call to get it reduced.
