is it possible to Retrofit Eaton Fuller 13 speed to Allison automatic Transmission

I would call maker of the transmission and give them the engine specs and see what they can come up with a match.
Ya may have to get a new and different drive shaft to make it fit but no harm in asking.
It is mainly just swapping out but most automatic come with computers and need a speed input sensor to know when to change gears.
So you will have to affix a line to the MPH gauge.
It maybe more complex but that is the simply and basic idea.

 

Not sure this will be much help, but I DO KNOW that on the new Argosy gliders the only way to spec an Allison (4000) is with the S60 Detroit, so at least the wiring harness and what ever hard parts you would need do exist or are at least available at the dealer level.

Hope that helps some, now, trying to find a good Freightliner parts guy that is willing to spend some time with you, that may be the hard part.

Actually, the OP's truck IS listed in the truck paper, or at least one exactly like it, right down to the grill guard/bumper.

 

My friend just went through the process of pricing it up to swap an ultrashift to an Allison 4500 series,
Sit down. $50k. There's is a lot more involved than you think. Wiring, ecu, cooling, new drive shaft, new diff ratios, new gearbox mounts, there is a lot of work involved

 

do you like Russian vodka ? drink a lot ?

 

I was looking at doing this 15-20 years ago. It was going to be around $30-35,000 back then. I think an Argosy with an allison would be way cool.
