I use a 34' PJ with a Hyd dovetail. I'm tagged at 31000 goss. The trailer has served me well

see if you can find out what the trailer weighs empty. I bumped mine to 14k axles under the impression that the trailer weighed around 4000 lbs. It actually weighs 4700, so with chains and stuff on board I'm left with around a 9000lb payload. Which from here is pretty good, anyway.

look at air ride axles. somewhat expensive, but PJ puts them on. Get the 102" wide. narrower just won't cut it for a lot of loads. And look at the motorized foot. If you want it, you'll also have to get the trailer with a battery on board. Dunno who your PJ dealer is. I got mine through Gingerich who is not too far from you.

FirstDeville, you are up in my neck of the woods. How busy do you stay? Do you run long haul or stay within 500 miles?

 

Ordered my trailer the other day, 35' PJ with hyd dovetail. Just waiting on my FED papers now.....
