I got this 29 from a buddy. I noticed that the delta tune had a double knob but it didn't do anything. I opened up the radio and found this board in there wrapped in bubble wrap. I also noticed that there is a wire that is ether cut or broke.![]()
What is this board? Cobra 29

Looks to be an echo board. The delta tune control was removed and the dual-control for the echo was installed in it's place. Could be worse. At least they didn't take out the RF gain control for it.
A proper tech would have anchored the board somewhere inside the radio rather than just wrap it in bubble pack and let it bounce around inside.
Perhaps the loose wire is a remnant of the original delta tune. -
Yes, a barrel connector will work just fine.

It is the EB2, best echo board in my opinion. Have someone mount it and rewire the cut out delta tune with a pair of 10K resistors so the receiver is not shifted to one side in frequency. Nice board lousy install, so typical. A decent tech would mount the board, and leave the delta tune (with hardware and knob) centered and insulated so the receiver frequency matched transmit and if you ever wanted to go back to stock the missing parts are there. If you ever do decide to remove it save the board for another radio or sell it on eBay. Some of us like the old board more than all the newer ones.
