Jeez Rick, you are an actual honest to goodness trucker. Pretty cool pictures.
Yes, as we were getting a new trailer we debated the reefer but we ran reefer for USX for about 9 months and the loading and unloading times just killed us. We avoid Distribution Centers like the plague and you get a ton of DC freight running reefer. Also, our Volvo is kinda heavy and we did not want to limit max weight any further. Plus, the reefer is just another dang thing to break (and perform maintenance on)
We ended up with a new Wabash 53' Dry Van with wooden floors, logistics posts and side skirts. Very happy. -

Good Day Mr. Bill I'm a owner operator out of Belmont, NC I'm currently waiting for clearance from safety to get approval. I've pulled for landstar and I've been looking for something better as far as flexibility, support , freedom , the means to negotiate and finally have the means to provide and support my family!! true opportunity is limited when it comes to being a true owner operator vs a glorified company driver/ owner operator with someone else telling them where to go and what to do, and when you can go home.. looking forward to the opportunity, so hope to get things going soon..!

Bill, I read where you take less then 5% of your applicants???I was hoping to come aboard sometime in October or November...could you please tell me what specifically you are looking for and what characteristics you are not?

"What seems to be the harder level of qualification for our company is making sure that there is a good fit on both sides. We are looking for business minded O/Os not drivers that bought trucks. We have the training to build your business skills but if you have been a driver I am sure you understand that we arent looking for the typical, negative attitude driver."

hello Nococraig, I have read your posts and I truly think that you and your wife are an inspiration for the rest of us. Your determination and good nature is what has made your business a success, and of course the opportunity to have the support of a good company behind. Thank you for sharing your experience with the rest of us drivers and giving us hope...
Tennesseahawk and flood Thank this. -
