Would This Be Ok??

I was given the option to drive to the Swift academy, it's about 8 hours away. Which is what I did. It was nice to have the use of my car while there, plus avoid the bus ride. Same thing for orientation. I turned in my fuel receipts and was reimbursed.

 

I'm wondering, why?
Why give it back to Swift to get the money back?

The price of the ticket is also the cost of getting there, by whatever means.
The OP deserves the refund on the ticket even more than Swift, since he paid for the transportation.

 

Except he didn't pay for the bus ticket nor will he be able to get a refund for it since he didn't pay for it. The op will however get reimbursed for fuel provided he gives swift the receipts.
