rocky mountain doubles ?

    next week i drop my flat bed and start hauling fertilizer with rocky mtn doubles ..ive never pulled these before though iv pulled 28ft doubles ...anything i need to know about ?

    looks like all it is , is a 53or 48 ft with a 28ft pup in the back, (googled it) so i would ASSUME you would treat it the same

    Never park anywhere you will have to back up. Until you get more practice anyway.

    You will probably have a 35 to 40 foot lead trailer 2 or 3 axles and a multi axle pup with a long adjustable pole between them. Lengthen out the pole in the USA to get more bridge distance and more weight.. Shorten it to get into Canada on 2 lane roads. They allow more weight than the US. The longer pole between trailers makes backing almost possible...

    Just don't make sudden turns at high speeds and depending on weight and number of axles stopping distance may increase

    i pull a 40/20 set when i fill in on the lumber shuttle.
    watch the pup its mostly stable but some loads get the pup moving and slow way down on bumps and railroad tracks or you can flip the pup and if your not watching the mirrors it will be bad.
    much better than a 28 foot set i would say

    thanks all ...used to run 28ft pups between omaha and chicago , i never could back em up tho .
