    Well, I am new to this forum. And I have been trying to find out who else has been screwed by BCJ Trucking. I was canned when I got back to the yard Thursday Night. They fired me for looking at another job. But they really couldnt say that totally. They said the recieved the paper work from the other company and they were letting me go. And then they come up with some Bulls*** and said I was bad mouthing the company and had to let me go. Where in the hell do they think they can get away with that?:biggrin_25510:

    Out of all of the replies, not one of them even comes close to giving you an answer. I will try in a feeble way.

    First, you need a lawyer!!!!!!! And don't get one in Mt. Airy, go to Winston-Salem or Greensboro. You get one in Mt. Airy and probably they are "friends" with the trucking company.

    How old are you? If you are over 40 you might have this for an advantage. I am talking about age discrimination.

    I believe N.C. is "at will" state and if so, it is very hard to get "justice".

    If North Carolina is a "right to work" state I wouldn't waste my time with a lawyer. Employers can fire you for any reason they want or no reason at all in a right to work state...
