Hookem, I was in Tenn when a deer "ran" into my truck and took out the right light assembly and damaged the bumper. I notified On-Road and they told me to go to the TA in Nashville. I told them that I should be able to make it to the Decatur terminal safely, but he insisted that I go to the TA, if the mechanic ok'd it I could go to the the terminal. The end result the mechanic felt that the truck was not safe and On-Road had the truck repaired there. This was not the only time I would tell On-Road I could make it safely but they told me to go to a repair shop. It is obvious your dealings with on-road was different from mine. I will admit that Swift is far from perfect I have yet to hear of or work for "any" company (trucking or otherwise) that is perfect.

Actually, I don't come to people's rescue. Telling the truth is what I do, and some don't like that, especially those who work for companies that have swept a lot of their doings under rugs.

You need to go back and read up on my posts. I've called Roehl a good place in the past, but of late, I'm starting to question them. I question the entire industry now, actually. This is because I'm going by posts here and elsewhere, plus relying on common sense. The best advice one can give a guy pondering trucking right now is "stay out".

    Whoa there.. :biggrin_2556:

I might still be a rookie, but I am definitely not the worst or the most dangerous. Unlike a lot of other Swift drivers, I KNOW how to back my truck and trailer and I know how NOT to get into a situation.

I wouldn't generalize all Swift drivers. I know and seen some really good drivers out there that work for Swift.

I do agree with you that A LOT of Swift drivers should go back to training school, but not all.

I wouldnt dream of running you off , its more fun on here with you spewing all the Swifthate. I have no clue as to what your particular axe to grind is, Bad DAC, or what have you, but Swift sure has gotten under your skin. So welcome,.."bud".

That's enough, people. Tone it down.

You all have managed to get in a jab or two, now cool it before I lock this thread.

Federal statistics state otherwise so, rather than chiming in to the same old truck stop chorus stand up and realize that there are much worse drivers out there.
