Teddy lots of people on this forum would be very interested in reading your
local fuel hauling experiences. You stated that you had your own power and
are looking to learn flats. Your story is kinda contrary to what alot of
people are looking to get into and read on this forum. Almost shocking
to hear you leaving that to go flatbed for more money. Just my 2¢ but
if you ever want to share some insight in the bulk forum sometime it
would be interesting. I know you are looking for info now but just
something to consider. Good luck in your new venture.

rda2580 thank let me restate my previous post. The moving on is more about the freedom to take time will off without having to put up with local daily work . For example if I went back OTR I could work 4 weeks out and park my truck for 2 weeks if I so please to do so. But hauling fuel locally is ok other wise . I would do tankers OTR as well

77% plis surcharge and plenty of customers? Sounds like a good deal to me! I'd definitely look closely at Kiem TS, Teddy.

I meant that I think you are correct I'm questioning the ops statement that you need flatbed experience to lease onto Landstar.

Check out Blair's thread in the o/o section.

you dont need flatbed experience to lease to landstar, if you qualify there is a flatbed class you can take. you problem might bbe recent over the road experience.

    MJ1657 Thanks this.

mastllc thanks for the information on landstar and you're right my problem will be with recent OTR . That's why I decided to kill to bird's with one stone. If I have to have recent OTR might as well go with a good company for my flatbed training.
