    1) I'm talking about post #43 where the poster is saying that cruise will disengage when wipers are in use. Sounds like an automated, non driver control system. Only going by the post. Not sure what switch you are referring to.

    2) Then read my post about post #43.

    3) And then read Lepton1's follow up post about it being a PITA if cruise turns off with quick use of the wipers.

    4) Then my follow up post to Lepton's which you are breaking my balls about.

There used to be a way to reactivate the cruise control when on guard decided to quit working properly and turned itself off. If was some combination of steering wheel switches. I just
cant remember what it was...this was in 2012.

I wish I could remember because I am having the same issues with the new on guard system. Every time a fly hits the front sensor it throws it out of whack and there goes my cruise control until I stop and turn off and then back on the truck. Pain in the butt.

Cruise with wipers being on, got it.

And if the wipers are on intermittent it is, as I mentioned, a different switch position than wipers being set on low or high speed.
The same if they are just turned on momentarily to clear the windshield.

I am referring to the switch you use to activate the wipers.
Even if it is attached to a lever - it is a multi-position/function switch.
And it should not be difficult to program the cruise lockout to determine which position it is in.

I wasn't 'breaking you balls' about anything.
Maybe it just needed a little more clarity for you to understand?

Your original post did not contain any clarity and the tone of your reply (if a tone can be interpreted from how things are written, I think it can) was condescending. I've seen you post replies like that in the past to other people and my impression was you sound like an know it all ___hole. It is one thing to be knowledgeable about a topic. It is quite another to come across like anyone who does not know what you do is an idiot.

Well, I am an idiot about things as well.
    From time to time.
    Now and then.

    Sometimes more often than not.

Sorry if my short reply offended you. It wasn't meant to.

My mentors Kenworth did the same thing, i tired it in mine and it rolled up to 70 with no response from the jake until i tapped the breaks and turned off the cruise then it turned right on. It has to do with the Adaptive Cruise Control system. Today it got road slush on the radar sensor and it disabled the cruise all together.

I'm local with no terminal. Going to Pilot at the end of the week with a large stack to scan is a real pain in the buttocks. Pilot is the closest place to our drop yard but I try to only go there in my pickup truck because even going there bobtail sucks. That would be the Charlotte Pilot/hellhole. Now the phone app someone mentioned would be nice too, my truck is small so you have a point on that. and the terminal scanners too lol. I'll throw in the kiosks too, some company is probably still laughing at how they sold Swift those pieces of crap.

I'm sure many would benefit from it, but I don't want it forced on me if I don't want or need it.
OTR drivers have more flexibility in this instance.

I've seen scanners replaced at many terminals lately, but they seem nearly as inferior as the last ones.
They still can't reliably feed in just one page at a time.
I don't know who is responsible for testing and choosing the scanners, but they should be out of a job.
(Rather like the people responsible for Plus-1 and the newer trip planning software.)

The Sumner driver I was hanging with and talking with down in Phoenix said he drove one of these and the whole thing drove him nuts. I couldn't believe it when he told me about the wipers and cruise control thing.

I miss fog lights as well. It's one of the big things I liked on my '11 Prostar. That extra little bit of light driving down a dark road helps.

I'm of the same thinking that if the new scanner app functions anything like the scanners in the terminals then I don't want it. However if it works just as well as Transflo then I wouldn't mind trying it out.

Just seeing the sight of the Swift scanners makes me kind of twitch and convulse a little. For a quick minute I can see a flash of the future, me as Don Quixote grabbing the nearest mop handle and running straight into those beasts and striking them down. My favorite memory was showing up at the Richmond terminal to take hometime, complete with a bunch of things to scan, only to find out that once again they were broken. All of them. Without enough hours left on my clock to drive to the nearest Pilot, I was pretty enraged. I think that time I got flashes of me out in a field smashing one of those towers to bits, like Office Space.

    Transflo is my friend.
