I see that you have a wealth of experience under your belt, Chinatown, so I will probably be coming back to you for questions. I got my CDL in Miami (don't know why I did that), basically was army recommended school in ACAP in either way they were pretty good, the only issue was I got back on the 25 and changed my license to Georgia yesterday, but they gave me a temp license, with the permanent coming in the mail. I wanted to do my HAZMAT, but they told me I need to have the background check approved first. They gave me the address, since I wanted to do my TWIC card too, I went straight to the place in Savannah. Funny is that I got there and they told me, I need the permanent license to apply for the hazmat and TWIC. FL give you a license right way, not the case in Georgia, so now I have to wait for my license to come in the mail within two weeks and then apply for my background check which takes another week or so, and then take my hazmat test, hopefully they will update my license without waiting another two weeks too. Just an experience to pass on. I already have tanker and double and triple endorsements.

A&R Logistics doesn't require hazmat or tanker endorsement or TWIC.
Look at their website. They waive the "one yr. experience required" for military veterans.
I know it seems strange a tanker company doesn't require tanker endorsement, but that's the way it is with A&R Logistics. They haul plastic pellets that aren't hazmat. Make about $62K per year there.
You can always go to liquid hazmat at some time in the future with another company. My former neighbor made $72K working there.
They also have an owner-operator program; something to consider after driving for a year or two first. -
Great, I will check into this company too, I just want to make sure I have every endorsement that I can have, because when I start the job, time will be money and right now I am still under the DOD umbrella and making a pay check. With TWIC and HAZMAT I will have all the credential possible, I already have passport and passport card.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
I just left a message with the recruiter answering system. I did not see any terminals in Savannah, the closest one is in Atlanta. Let's see if they call back. Thanks.
